The PILOTmanager project was born in 2008 because of the pilot corporations of seaports’ necessity of obtaining certifications of quality and environment, necessary in the majority of cases to be able to exercise the pilotage activity, according to the signed contract specifications with the different Port authorities of Spanish seaports.
The corporations which form the project are united in what we call the Community PILOTmanager sharing multi-site certifications. This formula generates countless advantages:
Joint audits
The external audits are annually made for the set of all corporations but not individually so it could possibly take up to 3 years to receive the auditor’s visit.
Common wording of procedures
Thanks to the fact that the developed work in corporations is very similar, we can share a lot of documentation, greatly decreasing the implementation and development costs.
Coordination meetings
At least once a year, each corporation representatives meet each other for different issues, training courses, project pooling, objectives, etc.
Implantación cost decrease
The implantation cost of management system for the three audited norms is noticeably inferior to the market estándar price.
